Homeschool Days is a 5 hour drop-off program for our homeschooling community, running weekly in seasonal sessions from 10 am to 3 pm, for ages 7-12*.
Like our after-school programs, Homeschool Days is characterized by a thoughtful blend of child-led exploration with elements of naturalist studies, nature connection routines, earth skills, and imaginative play. We have options at the Putah Creek Riparian Reserve (PCRR) in Davis, the William B. Pond (WBP) area in Sacramento, and new sessions in Folsom and Lincoln! Most kids come once a week, but you are welcome to register for as many sessions as you like. We are vendors with several homeschool charters (details below).
*Our new Lincoln homeschool class welcomes ages 5-12. Other classes are geared at ages 7+ but younger children will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We still have room in our Winter Programs!
The Winter 2026 Season is 11 weeks long, beginning the week of 1/5, and ending the week of 3/16 for Davis and Sacramento programs; Lincoln and Folsom programs go through the week of 3/23 and have the week of 2/16 off (in alignment with the local school districts).
Tution for the Homeschool Days is $710*
*If you are using homeschool charter funds, you will pay a $25 deposit to register, and request the remaining $685 from your charter.

Reparations & Tuition Assistance
We have a few opportunities to offer tuition assistance for families with financial need (please contact us in advance to apply and receive the coupon code!).
We offer a discounted reparations rate of 40% off standard tuition to families identifying as Black and/or Indigenous to North America, regardless of financial need. You will find the reparations code in the session description on the registration site.
Please note that tuition assistance cannot be combined with the use of homeschool charter funds (but the reparations rate can).
Homeschool Charter Funds
If you are with a homeschool charter, you should be able to use their funds for all of our programs except Dragonfly Teen Naturalists.
We are currently vendors with the following charters:
- Clarksville
- Compass
- Cottonwood
- Feather River
- Harvest Ridge
- Heritage Peak
- Horizon
- South Sutter
- Sutter Peak
- Visions in Education*
If you are with a different charter school and would like to request that we become vendors with them, please get in touch!
In order to use charter funds, we require a $25 deposit when registering, which gets subtracted from the amount you request from your school. This deposit serves as the cancelation fee should you cancel.
Each class has a coupon code that you can use to check out in the registration system without paying tuition beyond the $25 deposit. If you use this code, we will expect to receive a purchase order or service voucher within 5 business days of your registration. (Fall season is the only exception, as most charters are not yet open for funding requests at the time registration opens. In this case we expect to receive your purchase order or service voucher before the start of the season.)
The coupon codes for using charter funds are as follows (they are also listed in the registration system under "view more details" for each class option):
Homeschool program: HSCFDAY
After-school program: HSCFPM
Parent/Child program: HSCFPC
Using charter funds for Little Coyotes Forest Kinder is a more complicated matter, so please get in touch with us if you want to do this!
Once you have registered with the coupon code and paid the $25 deposit, just subtract $25 from the total tuition and request that from your charter school. If you are receiving a reparations-based rate, make sure to factor that in as well.
*limited to certain programs only. Please reach out if you are with Visions in Education.
Cancelations & Refunds
Please read carefully, as our cancelation policy has recently changed.
If you cancel your registration within 4 weeks of the start of the season, you will be refunded in full, minus a $25 cancelation fee. If you cancel less than 4 but more than 2 weeks before the start of the season, you will be refunded 50% of the tuition, minus the $25 cancelation fee. There will be no refunds for cancelations starting 2 weeks before the first day of the season.
For example: The Winter season begins on 1/5. In order to receive a full refund your last day to cancel is Sunday, December 7th. If you cancel between Monday, December 8th and Sunday, December 21st, you will receive a refund of 50% of the total tuition minus the $25 cancelation fee. If you cancel on or after Monday, December 22nd, we will not be able to offer a refund.
