Dragonfly Teen Naturalists, our 9-month program for ages 13-17, is back with an expanded schedule for 2024-2025!
Dragonfly Teen Naturalists supports our youth as they navigate the journey from childhood to adulthood, and provides space for them to envision where they are going during this time of transition. Through nature connection, they are able to cultivate a sense of resilience, confidence, and passion for this phase in their lives.
We will meet on Saturday afternoons from 3 – 7 PM, twice a month from September through November and March through May, and once a month from December through February (see exact dates below). The program will culminate in an overnight camping trip approximately an hour’s drive from Davis.

2024-2025 dates: September 14th & 21st | October 5th & 19th | November 2nd & 16th | December 14th | January 11th | February 8th | March 8th & 22nd | April 5th & 19th | May 3rd & 17th-18th for the Camping Trip.
Tuition for the year is $955, which can be paid up-front or in monthly installments (no interest charged). When checking out, select the payment plan option if you would like to pay monthly.
Reparations & Tuition Assistance
We have a few opportunities to offer tuition assistance for families with financial need (please contact us in advance to apply and receive the coupon code!).
We offer a discounted reparations rate of 40% off standard tuition to families identifying as Black and/or Indigenous to North America, regardless of financial need. You will find the reparations code in the session description on the registration site.
Please note that tuition assistance cannot be combined with the use of homeschool charter funds (but the reparations rate can).
Using Homeschool Charter Funds
If you are with a homeschool charter, you may or may not be able to use them for this program. Some charters will not cover programs that include overnight components. Please reach out to your charter to find out if they will cover this program before registering! If they WILL cover it, there are detailed instructions on how to use charter funds in the description of each class in the registration system. Just click on “view more details” under the name of the class to get the class-specific coupon code and further instructions. The coupon code will allow you to check out paying only a $25 deposit, which you will then debit from the amount you request from your charter school.
Cancelations & Refunds
If your plans change and you need to cancel, full refunds, minus a $25 per registrant cancelation fee, will be issued until one week before the season begins (i.e. when the season begins on a Monday, the last day to get a refund will be the Sunday of the week prior, or 8 days before the start of the season). We cannot guarantee refunds after that date.
