Drop-off programs

We run seasonal drop-off programs that (mostly) follow the DJUSD school calendar. Our after-school programs are 3 hours/weekly, and our daytime (homeschool) programs are 5 hours/weekly. Most kids come once a week, but you are welcome to register for as many programs as you like. We are vendors with most homeschool charters in the area (details under homeschool programs).

If you’re looking for summer program info, see summer camps.

About our after-school programs

Our after-school program is a once-a-week 3-hour drop-off program, characterized by a thoughtful blend of child-led exploration with elements of naturalist studies, nature connection routines, earth skills, and imaginative play. We have programs available for 5 to 12 year olds, with different age groupings to choose from. For our older children, we focus more on skill building. We meet at various locations along the Putah Creek Riparian Reserve (PCRR) and the South Fork Preserve (SFP) in Davis.

Reparations & Tuition Assistance

We have a few opportunities to offer tuition assistance for families with financial need (please contact us in advance to apply!), and we offer a discounted reparations rate to Black and Indigenous families regardless of financial need. You will find the reparations code in the session description on the registration site. Please note that tuition assistance cannot be combined with the use of homeschool charter funds (but the reparations rate can).

Cancelations & Refunds

If your plans change and you need to cancel, full refunds, minus a $25 per registrant cancelation fee, will be issued until one week before the season beings. We cannot guarantee refunds after that date.
